Directions

  1. Step 1

    Sprinkle bread in sprayed 8 inch (2 L) square baking dish; set aside.
  2. Step 2

    In bowl, whisk together eggs, egg whites, applesauce, milk and cinnamon. Pour over bread and press bread gently into egg mixture. Bake in 375°F (190°C) oven for 30 minutes or until golden, puffed and knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
  3. Step 3

    Serve each piece with dollop of yogurt, apple and sprinkling of cinnamon, if using.

Tips

  • You will need about 4 slices of whole grain bread to get the 4 cups (1 L)
