Turmeric scented rice

This golden coloured rice sings with zippy turmeric that offers up a lemony flavour. It’s perfect to serve alongside many different main courses like chicken, fish or beef.

Directions

  1. Step 1

    In saucepan, heat oil over medium heat and cook onions, ginger, garlic and turmeric for 3 minutes or until softened.
  2. Step 2

    Stir in rice and stir to coat. Add broth and water and bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  3. Step 3

    Fluff with fork and sprinkle with almonds to serve.

Tips

  • To toast almonds place in small nonstick skillet set over medium heat and shake pan occasionally for about 4 minutes or until golden and fragrant.
