Help our office run smoothly
Overview:
Our office located in Halifax, NS is seeking friendly, professional reception volunteers to manage all incoming phone calls and guest inquiries. This position also requires basic administrative duties which would support our various programs.
- Answer the phone and assist callers
- Redirect calls to appropriate staff and resources
- Process incoming donations
- Assist program staff
- Welcomes and guides clients and guests to appropriate contacts within the office
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Commitment: Shifts are 3-4 hours in the morning (from 9:00a.m/10:00am - 1:00p.m.) or in the afternoon (from 12:00/1:00p.m.-4:00p.m.). Shifts are available any day from M-F (or multiple days is desired). The Heart and Stroke office is open M-F from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m.
Qualities you’ll need for this role:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Friendly, confident and self-motivated
- Excellent phone manner
- Comfortable in word, Excel, and web browsers
- Pleasant and professional customer service skills
- Prior general office experience is preferred
- Neat and organized with attention to detail
- Punctual with time and attendance
