The Opportunity

The role of the Coordinator, VIP, Ride for Heart is to assist the Associate Manager in the effective delivery and development of the Ride for Heart VIP program. In this position, the incumbent will be responsible for initiating, developing and maintaining VIP Participant relationships to support fundraising for the VIP segment of Ride for Heart in 2018.Key responsibilities

Fundraising/Business Management: 

  • Meet fundraising revenue and business objectives through acquisition and stewardship plans
  • Provide superior customer service and develop solid relationships that lead to completion of Individual VIP fundraisers and retention of past VIP fundraisers
  • Successfully coach, enhance and motivate VIP participants to optimize fundraising efforts
  • Identify opportunities for growth of new VIP’s within existing relationships
  • Develop plans and support new acquisition of high-value teams
  • Assist Associate Manager in developing and managing appropriate plans, critical paths, and budgets for Ride VIP

People/Relationship

  • Recruit and develop an appropriate mix of Ride for Heart VIP administrative and event volunteers to support program growth
  • Assist Associate Manager in liaising with internal stakeholders with business relationships necessary to support the Foundation
  • Build and maintain positive volunteer partnerships in support of the effective execution of program

Lateral Relationships:

  • Ride Marketing & Operations Teams- Coordinate VIP/Team riders event day needs

Business Operations: 

  • Assist Associate Manager in identifying and developing operational plans and tactics for growing community presence, fundraising and business relationships 
  •  Assist Associate Manager in developing plans and tactics for strengthening VIP relationships 
     

Accountability Dimensions:

  • Geographic region of Toronto/GTA
  • Fundraising revenue: > $1.3 M+ with high growth potential
  • Managing 1,000+ VIP participants, 10+ high-value teams
  • Relationships: 60+ clients
  • Competitive Challenge: complex
  • Internal relationships: marketing, event experience, corporate challenge 
Qualifications

Education

  • College/University certificate/diploma

Experience

  • 2-3 years fundraising/sales experience with a proven track record of successful business relationships;
  • Experience in sales and/or account management within the not-for profit industry; 
  • Volunteer recruitment

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills; customer service; stewardship
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results; build and maintain effective relationships
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan and anticipate; problem solve and demonstrated sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi task 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Proficient PC skills with MS Office
     

Working Conditions

  • Own vehicle with ability to travel within GTA
  • During peak periods evening and weekend hours are required
