My Heart in My Hands

What is My Heart in My Hands?

Heart disease and stroke are leading killers of women in Newfoundland and Labrador, who carry more risk factors than women in other provinces. The My Heart in My Hands campaign is aimed at empowering women to reduce their risk by making healthy lifestyle changes.

Become a heart mentor

Heart mentors are the heart of this campaign. A heart mentor can be any woman: a mother, a sister, a grandmother, a friend. She is not an expert on heart disease, but she is passionate about encouraging women in her community to make their heart health a priority. Learn how you can become a heart mentor
